Putting the snorkel on the rinny was not as hard as I thought it was going to
be. All the snorkels I have seen for the rincon has come out of the plastic
peice that is infront of the seat. This can cause some major problems if you
slide to far forward and come in contact with the snorkel. This design keeps the
snorkel out of the way of the driver. All the details are very simple. I went to
a home improvement store and bought 5 feet of 1 1/2 spa flex hose, a short stick
of 2 inch PVC, 2 inch to 1 1/2 reducer, and 2 90 degree 1 1/2 angles. The 2 inch
pipe slides in place of the factory air tube. The reducer brings the pipe size
down to the correct size. The outer edge of the gas tank shield is trimmed to
make room for the flex hose. The inner finder is also trimmed to allow the hose
to not come in contact with the shock. A hole is then cut in the finder to allow
the hose to rise above the ATV. The 90 degree angles are then stuck on top.
Remember that you need to better seal your air box and route your crank case and
carb vents up above the gas tank. I routed mine in my cluster. Once everything
is in place the rinny did not have any power lose. I also did not have to tune
the end of the snorkel in size. The tube that I used was the correct size. MaD
